Project Objective: Create four conceptual images of a Haussman-Era Parisian apartment using mixed media graphic techniques.
While not required as part of the assignment, I rendered my Haussman-Era apartment as a themed escape room experience. Encouraged by my professors, I expanded the parameters of my final project to include an emphasis on historically-accurate show set design and user-focused narrative development for commercial experiences.
Escape Room Narrative
"The year is 1946.

World-renowned archeologist Dr. Albert Wright has mysteriously passed and you have been named in the will. Mistaken to be relatives of his late wife, you and your party have been invited to tour the professor's apartment where he has left the entirety of his riches behind for you to claim.

The catch? Dr. Wright’s wealth lies in the rarity of his artifact collection and all of his artifacts have been carefully locked away in a hidden room within the apartment. In order to access this room, your party must solve a series of riddles that only the professor and his wife would have known the answers to. Will you crack the code and inherit Dr. Wright’s wealth… or will you be exposed as frauds?"

Note: Dr. Wright's "kitchen" will be inaccessible to guests for the duration of the experience. The space will instead function as a room for game staff members to monitor guest safety throughout the show.
